"Fight...and when you get too tired to fight, then lay down, rest, and let somebody else fight for you." - Stuart Scott
Designed by Billboard, this inaugural FiA Pink Ribbon shirt is in honor and memory all the women we know and love who have fought breast cancer.
In the summer of 2017, we put the call out to FiA Nation for the names of women who have fought breast cancer. While feeling overwhelmed by the outpouring of names, we were also saddened by the reminder of how far reaching this disease truly is. To incorporate the more than 150 names of our moms, sisters, aunts, and friends, we decided to use the FiA letters, instead of a singular pink ribbon as the design.
FiA Nation is comprised of strong women who step forward when those around them are in need. When our loved ones are tired or feel weak, we fight for them. We truly are better together, and we thought this design represents how well we support each other.
The shirts will be delivered by the end of September, in advance of events across the country where FiAs will show their support of the fight against breast cancer, the most common cancer for women in the United States*.
We hope the shirt also serves as a year-round reminder that FiAs do not fight alone. Proceeds from the sales of the FiA Pink Ribbon shirt will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a national organization that invests in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
